Geology courses can produce many kinds of work, from scientific analyses and field investigations to creative projects and exhibits. This page features selected student work from my courses that lends itself to sharing beyond the classroom, along with the ideas and science that shaped it.
Showcases
Earth, Fire, and Form: The Geology of Ceramics
Students in GY250 spent a block learning to throw on the wheel while studying the geology that governs how clay behaves. Each piece in the exhibit models a geologic process, and the makers' statements explain the science behind their choices.
